Trim and join videos online.

Keep the part you want, put clips in order and save one MP4. Little Cut trims videos in your browser without uploading your footage.

Trim a video

Free. No watermark. Works best on desktop Chrome, Edge or Firefox.

How to trim a video

  1. Add your video

Open the editor on a desktop in Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Choose your video in Add media, or drag it into the editor. It appears on the timeline.

  2. Choose where it starts and ends

Select the clip, then drag its left or right edge inward. For precise timing, enter Start (s) and End (s) under Trim, pressing Enter after each value.

  3. Play the cut and export

Check the beginning and ending in the preview. Click Export, choose 720p or 1080p and a frame rate, then export. The new file has no watermark; your original stays unchanged.

Remove a section from the middle

Move the playhead to the beginning of the unwanted section and click Split. Move it to the end of that section and split again. Select the middle piece and press Shift + Delete. The clips after it move back to close the gap. Delete on its own leaves the gap, which plays as black.

To cut quickly while watching, pause where the good part begins and press Q to remove everything before the playhead in that clip. Press W to remove everything after it.

Trimming hides footage outside a clip’s start and end. Splitting creates separate timeline pieces, so you can remove or rearrange just one section.

Join clips into one video

Add the other videos. Each one goes after the last clip on the timeline. Drag a clip to move it to another spot. Trim each clip individually and export the project as a single MP4. Choose one output shape for the whole project; if your clips have different shapes, use Show whole video or Crop to fill to control the framing.

Finish the cut before adding captions

Caption times stay fixed when clips are trimmed or moved. Finish arranging the video first, then add or import subtitles. If you change the cut afterwards, check their timing again.

Use Save project to download a .littlecut file containing your edits and media. You can reopen it later with Open.

What to expect

Editing and MP4 export are free, with no account needed. Export creates a newly encoded video, so this is not a lossless file cutter. Input-format support and export speed depend on your desktop browser and device; mobile export is not fully supported.
